Imran to spell out ‘counter-fascism’ strategy on Aug 13

Islamabad: Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), declared on Sunday that on August 13, at a gathering at Parade Ground, he will reveal a plan to “fight this to denounce the “fascist” government led by coalition parties as “fascism.”

The former prime minister wrote in a tweet that “every era has its Yazids.” He compared modern-day Yazids to fascism and described the ruling class as such.

He claimed that the current fascist government in Pakistan, which was installed through a US plan to overthrow the government, is a “cabal of crooks and its handlers.”

Will our people submit to this plot out of fear or, as a nation, rise to the occasion?, he questioned.The PTI leadership decided on August 6 to hold what Mr. Khan referred to as a “Azadi March” the day before Independence Day.

PTI leader Ali Awan stated that now the public meeting on August 13 will pave the path for “real independence” in response to the impending gathering at Parade Ground.

He asserted the Parade Ground will be “fully filled” with people for the third time in Islamabad’s history while speaking to the member of the regional advisory council there. “Only PTI has ever made it feasible,
