ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday gave time to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Secretary General Jahangir Tareen to file reply in a petition against them for ‘non-declaration of offshore companies’ in their nomination papers submitted with ECP and adjourned further hearing till December 30. A bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar heard a petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Hanif Abbasi pleading the court to direct the Election Commission of Pakistan to disqualify Imran and Tareen over tax evasion and non-declaration of offshore companies in their nomination papers.

During the hearing, Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that the decision to club the instant matter with the Panamagate petitions would be taken by the Chief Justice. Naeem Bukhari appeared before the court on behalf of Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen. The court while giving time to PTI chief’s counsel for submitting reply in the matter adjourned further hearing till December 30.
