After organizing various huge rallies in different cities of Punjab Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf held a successful Larkana Jalsa. Larkana has been Pakistan Peoples Party’s stronghold since the party’s initial days and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto ruled the area, but it seems successful rally of PTI provides the hint of change. Imran Khan, while talking to the rally thanked the people of Larkana for giving him a warm welcome. He said that he is glad that PTI hold the rally in the open fields as no other area could contain such a large number of people. He promised the people of Sindh that PTI will never allow Sindh to be divided. He also said that KalaBagh dam would not be built unless there is a consensus on this issue. He said that he was aware with the fear of people of Sindh that if Kalabagh dam was built, their share of water will be stolen. He said that after coming into power, PTI will ensure equal rights to all minorities. He said that Sindh government has failed to provide security to the minorities and our Hindu brothers are being migrating to India. He questioned about the performance of PPP in Sindh and asked if they have done anything valuable for the people in Sindh during the rule of last 25 years. He said that out of three ghost schools, every two exist in Sindh. But the political parties in the opposition trying to do the traditional pass statements that PTI rally was a corner meeting but they must realise time for blame game has gone and they all must start thinking in a positive way for the betterment of the people.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf held its Larkana Jalsa on Friday amid incumbent PPP’s severe opposition where the party passed a resolution against Imran Khan from Sindh assembly just few days ago. Leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party must realize that until they would not deliver to the masses, they can not win the trust and faith of the people. They have the perfect example of their last government, they could not deliver to the people and a party which formed the federal government has become a provincial party of Sindh. Although they remained successful to win the second most seats in the last years general elections and Syed Khursheed Shah became the leader of the opposition in the parliament but Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaaf surpassed PPP to gain the second largest popular votes in the country.
PPP lost the elections miserable in other provinces and PTI was the second most popular political party after Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz in province Punjab which often decides the fate of a political party to make the government in the centre. PTI successful rally in Sindh must alarm the bells for the PPP that time is changing fast and only the performance can save them in the next elections. Huge participation of the people in the rally has reflected their concerns that they are not pleased with the ruling party of the province. In the provincial government of Sindh, children are dying on the daily bases because of hunger in Tharparker, people still can be found raising their voices that they were not treated properly during the hard times when devastated floods hit the Sindh province. It is not a rocket science to understand that policy makers and rulers have failed miserable to redress the grievances of the masses. It is a time to fulfill the pledges else it could be now or never, good governance can save a political party in power and if they would fail there are prominent chances they would be history. People of Sindh love Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto with passion but now they have realized that their emotional affiliations with him are being hijacked to get the votes only but they are getting peanuts in return.
Bad governance of a political party creates a vacuum which provides chances to democratic and non democratic forces to fill it. It seems this vacuum has been emerged in Sindh, now PPP has to decide either they would fill up it with their performance or left it for other political parties, most likely for PTI to do so. It is a lesson for all the political parties including PML N and PTI that by each passing day, people are getting more and more rational power to decide what is best for them and they would believe on the hollow slogans of the politicians only good governance would convince them.
All the major political parties are in power in three big provinces of the country, they all must take it as a chance to perform well in their respective provinces. PPP have the chance in Sindh, PTI can make a new Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and PML N has the chance to uplift the living standards of people of Punjab because not only the hollow slogans but performance would decide the fate to make the federal government in the next general elections.
