PESHAWAR: In the semi-finals of the 29th Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship in Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday, promising Pakistani teenager Noor Zaman crushed Malaysia’s Andrik Lim.
The 18-year-old Noor defeated Lim 11-4, 11-2, 11-3 in just 26 minutes, looking completely in command.
Noor, who might have won multiple championships for Pakistan, namely the US Junior and British Open Junior Championships, and also the Asian Championship, will now compete in the final against Joachim Chuah of Malaysia. In the semi-final, Chuah defeated fellow Malaysian Ameenshanraj Chandaran.
Noor said that he was in excellent form and that he would give it his all to help Pakistan win the title.
