LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that there is no room for terrorism, extremism and sectarianism in Pakistan.
Talking to State Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer, he said that it is our mission to form a society based on harmony and equality.
Pakistan is emerging as a safe and peaceful country in the world, he remarked. He said international institutions are acknowledging transparency in development projects and stabilizing of the country’s economy.
The chief minister observed that thousands of Pakistanis have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism. He said that Pakistan Army has curbed terrorism in the country and this is why economic activities have stepped up in the country.
Expressing his satisfaction over the National Action Plan (NAP), he said comprehensive measures being taken under NAP to counter terrorism are yielding positive results.
Sharif, commenting on current political situation, claimed that failed politicians are leveling baseless accusations against the government. NNI
