LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Leader MNA Hamza Shahbaz has said that there was no room for horse trading in the electoral process and those hatching conspiracies against the public mandate would be exposed.

Talking to the media here at the Punjab Assembly on Thursday, he advised Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to give up double standards in the politics. He said the PTI Chairman had been calling the parliament a bogus institution during container protests and now he was contesting Senate elections that is  contradictory to his earlier stance.

Hamza termed the horse trading in politics as curse and added that it must be condemned at all levels to promote transparency in politics. He said the PML-N was very clear in its stance that mandate of every political party should be honoured while it gave free hand to the opponents to form government where they had good numbers.

Hamza said it was a good omen that PTI leaders started feeling that they committed a lot of wrong things in emotional manner during container protests and now they were getting back to track.

He said that some PTI members were contacting the PML-N parliamentarians to vote in favour of PPP candidate Nadeem Afzal Chan which reflected their double standard. He said the PML-N was fully committed to promote politics based on principles with the aim to discourage horse trading. DNA
