QUETTA (PR): Balochistan separatist leader Harbyar Marri has said the separatists will never demand a referendum in Balochistan on the pattern of Scotland, says a press release received here Saturday.

Talking to BBC Urdu, Harbyar said the separatists never demanded a referendum in Balochistan and they don’t have any such intentions in the future.

He said those who demanded independence in Scotland were not killed, lifted or tortured. He alleged that those who even talk of independence in Balochistan are deprived of their right to live. He claimed that the fundamental difference between Scotland and Balochistan was that the people of Scotland were living with England according to their own will since last many centuries but the situation in Balochistan was altogether different.

Harbyar said the people of Balochistan have the capability to decide their future. He admitted that the people of Balochistan were exploited by feudal lords and sardars in the past.
