ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Thursday said the party will not support Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif’s bid for premiership in the National Assembly.
The statement was made by senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah while speaking to the media in Islamabad. Earlier, the party had revealed that it was not in alliance with the PML-N in the Punjab.
Earlier, PPP MPA Hasan Murtaza had said the party would only be sharing opposition benches with the PML-N. The party would not support the PML-N chief ministerial candidate either, he said.
“We will support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in their positive governance initiatives and we will support PML-N when they will raise fair objections”. Murtaza further said that there will not be undue support for the government or for the opposition. INP
