PTI leaders are breaching the law: Administration

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 13 (DNA) – A court in Islamabad has sent about a hundred workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand for attacking state institutions and violating Section 144.

PTI workers stopped prison vans near district courts at F-8 and demanded release of the prisoners. Police demonstrated patience and restraint despite provocation of the PTI protestors.

Inspector General Islamabad police Tahir Alam asked the protestors in F-8 courts to disperse immediately. Under Section 144 gathering of more than five persons is prohibited.

Islamabad administration clarified that the arrested workers of the PTI and the PAT were involved in attacks on the parliament and the PTV. It said no one is above the law and action will be taken against the saboteurs.

The administration said that PTI leaders are breaching the law. Creating impediments in the way of court’s order is violation of the constitution.

The administration also said police has demonstrated restraint against the protesters in F-8 courts and did not resort to use force against the protesters.
