ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan Thursday said that Pakistan has made no formal request as yet on Karachi situation involving MQM.
In a statement in the National Assembly, the Minister said the matters regarding use of uncivilized language for security agencies, rangers and armed forces came under discussion during his meeting with British High Commissioner to Pakistan yesterday. He said the murder case of Dr Imran Farooq which is under investigation also came under discussion. He said some progress on this case has been made. He said no political implications should be searched in this case.
The Minister said it is responsibility of the Pakistan government to provide, whatever proofs it has, to bring the killers of Dr Imran Farooq to justice.
He said the executions of the convicts Saulat Mirza and Shafqat Hussain have been delayed on different reasons for 72 hours.
