NIRM lauded for provision of healthcare facilities

ISLAMABAD, Sept 09 (DNA):  Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim of Capital Administration & Development Division has lauded National Institute of Rehabilitation & Medicine (NIRM) for provision of best healthcare facilities.

Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim of Capital Administration & Development Division visited “NIRM (National Institute of Rehabilitation & Medicine)” in G-8, on Tuesday.

Minister of state admired the working and set up of NIRM and said that this institution is providing the best healthcare facilities to the patients on priority basis. NIRM was given to the Capital Administration & Development Division in 2011 since then this institution is functionally available to the patients throughout the country, said the State Minister.

NIRM is funded by the public sector welfare organization mostly by Baitul Mal (Rs. 9.86 million) and Zakat funds (Rs. 1.5 million).

A patient is not just a sick body he is a human with humanly needs; he does get depressed of the environment and routine of the hospital, so we have made this institution a lively and healthy place for them, emphasized the Minister of State.  Further he added that patients are not just treated but they are given technical and vocational training here as well; Dars e Quran, skill development, computer training, stitching and sewing and cooking competitions etc are included in it.
