LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that a comprehensive programme of national development and prosperity has been moved forward by the government adding that solid steps have been taken for welfare of the general public.
Talking to elected representatives who called on him here on Monday, Shehbaz Sharif said Positive results have been yielded of different steps taken by the government for development of health, education, agriculture and other sectors. Punjab government considered all its resources as a sacred trust of the masses and these have been efficiently utilized for improving the quality of life of the people.
Public welfare is core agenda of the government while leveling baseless allegations and speaking frequent lies is sole purpose of the political opponents, he said and added that without caring for the opponents of development, transparent completion of development projects has been ensured by the government as public service is our motto.
The Chief Minister said that public welfare programmes will be moved forward speedily and added that 2018 is the year of defeat of those who are engaged in the politics of lies and allegations. We will go to the masses with the records of public service and national development.
He said that pivot of politics of Pakistan Muslim League-N is public service and it has promoted the democratic culture of national development and prosperity. The people only want peace and prosperity and national development has been given importance by us at every stage. On the other side, the sit-in group has shown enmity with the people by impeding the projects of public welfare.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Niazi and Zardari, who leveled allegations against each others, are now united for the sake of their personal interests. He added that both are two sides of the same coin and Niazi-Zardari hookup has been fully exposed before the nation. He said that defeated political elements have promoted the politics of deceits, falsehood and baseless allegations. The conscious people of Pakistan will totally reject such elements in general elections because a lie has no legs to stand upon.
The Chief Minister further said that faces of the elements engaged in the politics of accusations have been fully exposed before the people because the claimants of change have not given anything to people except hollow slogans.
He said that looters and the elements remained involved in sit-ins are afraid of the performance of PML-N government and defeat is their fate in the next general elections. The defeated elements have opposed welfare of the masses and they will be taught a lesson by the people in future. The opponents may use any number of negative tactics but we will continue to move forward public welfare process, concluded the Chief Minister.
