New Indian allegations

Pakistan High Commissioner to New Delhi Abdul Basit on Tuesday rejected Indian allegations of alleged involvement in the Uri army base attack in which 18 Indian soldiers were killed. Earlier Indian media claimed that Indian authorities have shared evidence with Basit. Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar handed over evidence to Abdul Basit which claimed that local villagers in Indian held Kashir apprehended two Muzaffarabad-based ‘guides’ that India claims facilitated the Uri army base attackers.

In response Abdul Basit logically responded that if India is sincere to investigate the attack on army base, it should not run away from the option of carrying out an independent investigation.  While rejecting claims of India, he said by blaming Uri attack on Pakistan, India is trying to divert attention of world from the atrocities India has committed in the Indian held Kashmir.  Basit’s call for waiting for the investigation into the Uri attacks to be completed before raising fingers towards Pakistan should have been the approach adopted by India in the first place but India opted for the option of blame game.

India is involved in large scale violations of human rights in held Kashmir, over 80 innocent protesters have been brutally killed and hundreds have lost their eyes due to usage of pellet guns by Indian forces. India is blaming Pakistan without any prior investigation of the Uri attack and it seems this tactic of India is aimed at diverting attention of world from its atrocities in occupied Kashmir. International Human rights organizations including United Nations and OIC have already raised voices against brutality of Indian in Kashmir.

Blaming Pakistan for Uri attack seems calculated tactic of India to diver t world’s attention from atrocities in held Kashmir.
