The cricket governing bodies of Afghanistan and Nepal announced that they would participate in Asia Cup matches in Pakistan.
The development comes as Bangladesh has confirmed the same via email to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which is focusing on a hybrid format because India was hesitant to travel to Pakistan to participate in the event.
India has been given the option to play its games at a neutral site under the hybrid concept. India’s objections to the model put up by PCB chief Najam Sethi are meaningless because they are not related to the games that will be played in Pakistan.
The hope for the hybrid model’s acceptance has increased thanks to the assurances from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
Following the approval of the hybrid model, discussions on the neural venue, according to reports, could begin.
