ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry Wednesday said his party will not tolerate any defamation campaign against the judges of Supreme Court of Pakistan and members of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing Panama charges.
Commenting on statement by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi, Fawad Chaudhry said Hashmi’s statement is tantamount to sedition and rebellion, as it is a direct threat to the apex court especially the two judges who gave dissenting note in Panama verdict.
Another PTI leader Asad Umer questioned whether the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will take any action against Nehal Hashmi and order his arrest.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan termed the threatening statement of Nehal Hashmi a culture of PML-N.
“Hashmi’s embarrassing threats to judiciary is part of N-League politics and they always try to frighten or buy the person to get their interests,” he said in his unnerved reaction.
He said people did not forget the phone call by Nawaz Sharif family to Justice Qayyum in which he was directed ‘what should be the decision.’ INP/NNI
