PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday lauded the statement of Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif regarding corruption.

‘The entire country stands behind the Army Chief on his statement regarding the  eradication of corruption,” Imran said while speaking to mediapersons at Chief Minister House in Peshawar.

Imran’s remarks came shortly after General Raheel Sharif called for across the board accountability to uproot corruption and linked it with enduring peace and stability in the country

The PTI Chief said that he would mobilize the entire country on Panama leaks. ‘Mian sb (he said referring to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif) will have to tell the nation about the source of his offshore wealth,’ he said, adding that there were contradictions in statements issued by the family of Prime Minister.

Responding to a question, Imran said that it was yet to be seen which parties come forward to save Nawaz Sharif. The PTI Chief said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to London was not related to his health.

‘I thought Mian Sahab went to London for treatment. But he was on any other mission,’ he said.
