ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has offered the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ticket to Makhdoom Javed Hashmi to contest by-elections from Multan.
According to a private news channel, the offer came few days after the seasoned politician announced to quit National Assembly seat.
Taking advantage of the situation, the prime minister has offered Hashmi to contest by-election from NA-149 constituency on PML-N’s ticket. On this, Hashmi has sought some time to consult the matter with his friends.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan parted ways with Javed Hashmi following his criticism and accusations against the party leadership. Hashmi had criticized Imran Khan for going back on his promises and claimed that the ongoing political crisis in the country was ‘scripted.’
