ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that international financial agencies have declared that Pakistan’s economy is back on track and it has made significant progress during the last few months.
In his statement in the National Assembly on Friday, he said an International Agency Bloomberg in its report said the government has managed to turn around the economy after social disturbance in the mid of last year.
Similarly he said Moody’s has declared Pakistan’s economy from stable to positive category due to its sustainable foreign currency reserves and stability of its Bonds in international market.
He said due to improvement in macroeconomic indicators, international Bank for Reconstruction and Development has also allowed Pakistan to deal with it for any loan.
The Finance Minister said that the Steering Committee for promotion of Islamic Banking has presented its interim report, while it has sought time up to 31st December this year to present final report in this regard.
Ishaq Dar said the Federal Board of Revenue will publish Directory of Tax Payers including members of Parliament by April 10 this year.
He informed the House that all differences on the formation of judicial commission to probe the alleged rigging in the last election and hope the commission will be formed shortly. He thanked all political parties both in the National Assembly and Senate for removing differences on the Commission. NNI
