Nation should salute to COAS for Zarb-e-Azb success

ISLAMABAD: Vital steps have been taken to eradicate the terrorism from the country and nation should salute to Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif for the success of the military operation Zarb-e-Azb. Raheel Sharif was not part of any conspiracy to derail the democracy he knows that democracy would strengthened the country.

This was said by Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions in his interview on programme Sacchi Baat with Sardar Khan Niazi on Rooz TV here on Wednesday.

He said that decision to establish the military courts was taken by the government after taking in confidence to all the political parties. He said that it was the need of the time because nation wanted to get rid of terrorists.

Answering a question regarding the presence of politicians of Mushraf era in the cabinet of Pakistan Muslim League N, he said that only the honest and dedicated politicians who performed well in Musharaf regime had been given the nod to work in PML N. Commenting on the Musharaf trial he said that it was a constitutional matter and no personal grudge was involved in his trial.

He said that government is utilizing all the available resources to end the energy shortage and soon crises would be a history. He said that government is also focusing on the development of the infrastructure; Metro Bus Project in the twin cities is the prime example of it.

Answering a question he said that no evidence of Afghan people was found in the terrorist activities in Pakistan. While appreciating the role of Aghan President Ashraf Ghani in boosting the Pak-Afghan bilateral ties he said that he Ghani was a well educated and visionary person and would bring stability in Afghanistan. He said that both the neighbor countries are working collectively to tackle the monster of terrorism because stability in both the countries is linked with peace.

He said that he was satisfied with the foreign policy of the country, “There is no danger for us in Obama’s visit of India, rather we should be focusing on the stability of our country” he added.

While appreciating the efforts of Roze TV he suggested to the other media organizations to follow the foot-steps of Roze TV and play the pivotal role in changing the mindset of the people for unity as nation must be united in fight against terrorism.
