ISLAMABAD: The inquiry committee formed on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s direction to probe alleged corruption in Nandipur power project has pinned the blame on project’s Managing Director Muhammad Mehmood.
According to sources, the inquiry committee has completed its investigation and the findings blame project’s MD. It is told in the report that Mehmood didn’t even deploy 24 engineers who received specialized training from China.
The project’s MD deployed engineers of his own choosing instead. The report has been sent to the Ministry of Water and Power that will soon present it to the Prime Minister.
