Prime Minister Nazir Tarar has said that the names in the Exit Control List (ECL) in the £190 million scam have been removed.
Responding to the attention notice regarding PTI members in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nazir Tarar said that the removal of names from the exit control list is reviewed. I can say with full assurance that we see the matter of revision according to the constitution and law. Will scrutinize the list of members whose names are in ECL or not.
Azam Nazir Tarar further said that once the name is included in ECL, then it has to go for review. The power of review rests with the federal government. It has a sub-committee which I was assigned to chair. We listen to the reviews that come with full attention. People have gone through this in previous eras as well.
He said that the PTI members should give their identity card numbers to the Secretary Assembly. If he had told in advance, he would have come after scrutiny and told here. If any guarantee has been done, it will be looked into. The pit that is dug for someone, they themselves fall into.
