Karachi: Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that the NAB institution is promoting corruption, NAB is being used and what will happen when institutions are used? Corruption will increase.
Addressing a ceremony held on the occasion of Anti-Corruption Day, he said that we condemn corruption but we are a part of this corruption, why is corruption not being eradicated from society despite the passage of so many years? We have not corrected ourselves, we have not held ourselves accountable, the day we stop ourselves from corruption, corruption will end.
He said that to eradicate corruption, we have to work at the grassroots level, we do corruption for ourselves or for our children, corruption will not end until corrupt people are punished.
The Chief Minister said that I cannot doubt anyone’s intention or thinking, Islam has forbidden speaking wrongly against anyone, everyone is talking here but nothing on the ground, we have to start accountability with ourselves, the reason we could not implement it is our environment.
He said that we do corruption for money but peace and blessings cannot be bought with money, when I won the election, my mother had the right to cancer, when I was going to become the Chief Minister, my mother died, I was ready to sell all the property for my mother but the cancer was in the last stage and I could not do anything i.e. money is of no use.
He said that until I myself am not well, nothing will be well, if I want to become a person of paradise, I have to strengthen my faith, what is in our destiny, no one can snatch it away and what is not in my destiny, no one can give it to me.
He said that people pray and are sure that they will go to heaven, there will be no such people in heaven, there will be great people, they say jobs are for sale, who buys? You, you stop buying, the sale will stop, people are increasing the marks of children by feeding money in the board, they are tempting one of their generation to evil, you cannot blame these evils on India, Israel or America, both the bribe taker and the giver are hell-bent.
The Chief Minister has said that what wrong thing have you done that you had to pay bribe? If you are giving money for a job, then you are giving money to eat someone’s right, a mother who is raised on corruption money is not the mother who has heaven under her feet.
He said that we are not giving money to the Patwari for good work but for wrong work. Unless my mother and wife ask me where this money is coming from, the society will not be fine. We have to prepare parents who ask their children where the money is coming from.
He said that NAB has a scope of what it is doing, it is promoting corruption, NAB is being used, what will happen when institutions are used? If my power is misused, then it is mental weakness. Why are my officers not denying me that this is wrong? A powerful person can use you temporarily, not permanently. We have to get out of this slavery mindset, then the society will be better.
