ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) gave deadline of August 31 to its sub-offices in Lahore and Rawalpindi to prepare references against Sharif family.
NAB collected strong evidence against sacked premier Nawaz Sharif and his family, reported a private channel quoting sources.
NAB’S executive board will make the formal approval before references are filed. The references will be first sent to courts from September 8.
The financial record of Sharif family was collected from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) while Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) had already submitted all necessary documents. In this way, the relevant information has been compiled by NAB.
NAB has also acquired the details of Junaid Safdar’s accounts, sources told. Millions of rupees were transferred to bank accounts of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz. NAB bureaus have been told to submit all references to the headquarters by August 31.
It is expected that the court will start hearing these references after September 8. Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by Supreme Court in Panama case verdict and NAB was told to reopen the references against his family.
