NA Speaker suggests enhancing business, parliamentary contacts between Pakistan and Brunei

ISLAMABAD: High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam H.E Dato Mahmud Saidin called on Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Parliament House, on Wednesday.

Talking to the High Commissioner, the Speaker said that Pakistan attaches importance to its relations with Brunei Darussalam and wants to strengthen them through enhancing cooperation in diverse sectors. He stressed the need for enhancing interaction between Members of the National Assembly and Shura of Brunei Darussalam for exchange of views and sharing experiences. He suggested for enhancing contacts between business communities for investment in manufacturing, food processing, exploration and fisheries sectors. The Speaker also extended invitation to Speaker Shura of Brunei Darussalam to visit Pakistanalong with a delegation.

High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam H.E Dato Mahmud Saidin thanked Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for his remarks and said that his country also attaches importance to Pakistan being one of its brothers and an economic partner. He agreed that people to people and business contacts could add milestones in the brotherly relations between both the countries. He said that investors from Bruneiwould certainly like to take benefit of huge potential in Pakistan. He informed the Speaker about his intent to establish Brunei-Pakistan Friendship Association which will help cement relations between Pakistan and Brunei.
