ISLAMABAD : Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has reiterated government’s resolve to solve the problems faced by the farmers. Talking to delegations of farmers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who called on him in Islamabad on Saturday, he said government has provided relief to the farmers of the province in current budget. He said tobacco task force is reviewing to amend the existing laws to facilitate farmers. The Speaker said another task force is being constituted to help farmers. Asad Qaiser said our special committee has drafted 12 points memorandum which will be presented before Prime Minister. He said Pakistan International Airlines reduced one third price in Air Cargo Tariff pertaining to the mango uplift from Pakistan which was result of landmark initiative taken by the incumbent government. Later talking to Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Bilal Khan Mahsud, he said Pakistan desires peaceful neighbour and supports Afghan-led Afghan-owned peace process which is imperative for the peoples of both countries. The Speaker said Pakistan wants to establish its relations with Afghanistan on the basis of trade and business which will leave fruitful impact in the region. To a question, he said India is always worried about China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is a flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative of China. He said Pakistan will also utilize China’s expertise to uplift the agriculture sector in Pakistan.
