Patriot Web Desk: Merely a day after accusing coach Mickey Arthur of using abusive language against him Umar Akmal went a step ahead late on Thursday and in a series of tweets said that his ouster from the team is the result of a conspiracy.
In his tweets the middle order batsman who has played 116 ODI’s for Pakistan said that the conspiracy to oust him from the team was hatched three to four years back.
Akmal claimed that he was fit to play i the Champions Trophy but coach Mickey Arthur declared me unfit after conducting a dummy test which was part of a conspiracy against him.
Akmal added that he was told by journalist Yahya Husseni that Mickey Arthur wants to drop him by declaring him unfit because other wise one from Azhar Ali or Muhammad Hafeez will have to sit out.
In his tweets Umar Akmal also challenged selector Inzimam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed to deny that Mickey Arthur didn’t abuse me adding that in such a case he will apologize to the nation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Umar Akmal has been involved in one controversy or another pretty much for the last three to four years, his performance has also dipped considerably in this tenure.
After his public outburst against coach Mickey Arthur, Akmal receive little support as former cricketers and fans backed Mickey Arthur citing the non-professional and childish attitude of Umar Akmal.
