Musharraf says cases against him ‘politically-motivated’

KARACHI: Former military ruler and President General (R) Pervez Musharraf has reiterated that all cases registered against him were political motivated.

Addressing a gathering at a local hotel in Karachi, he said he was subjected to personal vendetta for no reason. All cases filed against me are based on political grounds, and I will fight them with courage, said Musharraf.

He expressed that he had attachments with Chitral and their native people. I am proud of loyalty from Chitrali people, he added.

The former president said he preferred Chitral to contest elections as he had much affection for Gilgit-Baltistan.

Later in the gathering, Musharraf also danced on traditional music with Chitralis. NNI
