MULTAN, Nov 29 (DNA): Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s younger brother Mureed Hussain Qureshi has announced to remove Shah Mehmood from the ‘Gaddi’ of their father.

“It was me who made him the custodian of Shah Rukn-e-Alam’s mausoleum and it is me again who is removing him now”, said Mureed Hussain.

Holding a press conference in Multan Press Club on Saturday, Mureed Hussain said that he was the one closer to his father Makhdoom Sajjad Hussain Qureshi and watched over the matters related to the shrine while Shah Mehmood was more interested in politics.

“However, when former Governor Punjab Makhdoom Sajjad Qureshi died 17 years ago, I made Shah Mehmood the custodian of the shrine of Bahauddin Zakaria and Shah Shams’s shrine. I admit my mistake”, said Mureed Hussain.

Mureed Hussain alleged that Shah Mehmood was using the shrine for his politics while the funds worth Rs. 5 to 6 million, generated by Ghausia Jamaat, were also being spent on PTI. He said that it was due to Shah Mehmood Qureshi that Zakaria Conference could not be held at Bahauddin Zakaria University this year.

“I have removed Shah Mehmood Qureshi from the ‘Gaddi’ and if he wants to move to any court or Shariah Court, he is allowed to do so. I will present the proofs before the court”, announced Mureed Hussain. DNA
