MULTAN, Jan 2 (INP): Police Friday collard two medical students for attempting to murder President Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Multan, Dr Shahid Rao.
“Angry over having failed their MBBS exams/tests, both the suspects had allegedly tried to extort Rs2 million out of Dr Rao, who is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at Nishtar Hospital,” police said while presenting the held students before the media here.
According to police one of the accused, who goes by the name of Kashif is an MBBS final year student, while the other one a graduate.
It is noteworthy that Dr Rao had narrowly escaped an armed attack on December 29, 2014.
