LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat e Islami Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the Mughal style of the present rulers had destroyed the democratic institutions in the country which was being run on unconstitutional lines.
He was inaugurating the Al-Huda at Model Town, Tuesday evening. Tanzeem e Islami chief Hafiz Aakif Saeed and JI deputy chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees and were also resent.
Sirajul Haq said that unless and until the division of the society into the haves and the have-nots, the oppressor and the oppressed came to an end and a government system based on justice and equality was established, the country could not progress. He said that the present system was based on the exploitation of the poor due to which the rich were getting richer and the poor were becoming poorer.
He said the incidents of a mother jumping into the canal along with her children and a father killing his dear ones out of hunger were a matter of shame for the society and the government.
He said the JI was determined to wipe out injustice and exploitation and establish the Nizam e Mustafa which alone could ensure security of life, property and honour to the citizens.
Sirajul Haq was confident that the JI agenda of Islamic Pakistan, Prosperous Pakistan would be successful in the long and the JI would be able to wipe out the class based system. He said the JI was committed to ending the status quo and ensure that the common man returned to the corridors of power.
He said it was unfortunate that federal budget protected the interests of the rich and ignored the poor. NNI
