MQM to adopt legal course in Altaf case

MQMKARACHI: Responding to the registration of an FIR against Altaf Hussain, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said that it would come up with a response after consultation with legal experts.

In a joint statement from London and Karachi, MQM’s Rabita Committee said that “our legal and constitutional experts are examining the FIR lodged by Rangers against Altaf Hussain.” “MQM will adopt a legal course against the FIR.”

“The allegations leveled in the case against Altaf Hussain, prima facie, negate facts,” according to the statement.

The MQM chief had faced countless such cases in the past also and again he would defend the new allegations within the ambit of law and constitution.

“We appeal to our workers to remain peaceful and keep unity in their ranks.”

MQM is a peaceful, liberal and democratic party, which will continue its legal, constitutional and democratic struggle under the leadership of Altaf Hussain. Agencies
