KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee has raised questions on Imran Khan’s character in light of the Judicial Commission’s report nullifying Khan’s allegations of pre-planned rigging during the 2013 general elections.
MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the Judicial Commission report has ruled out pre-planned rigging and now the people of Pakistan reserve the right to question Imran Khan about his allegations.
Without naming the leader Siddiqui hinted Khan was a risk for democracy inPakistan and plainly said that Imran Khan as an individual had a questionable past.
MQM’s MNA Kunwar Naveed Jameel added, that he has written to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding a ruling of an American court against Imran Khan in a paternity suit.
He added that Imran Khan did not face the suit and returned to Pakistan, forcing the court to rule against him in his absence. He lamented that people in Pakistan feel justice is only available to a powerful few.
He pointed out that the courts did not rule against Pervez Musharraf but he wasn’t allowed to contest elections. He called out to the election commission to prove that it is neutral and impartial. He pointed out the Imran Khan has a ruling against him in a Los Angeles court.
