MQM-Pakistan requested that Shehbaz Sharif, the country’s prime minister, step in to prevent the PPP and coalition government’s agreement from being put into effect.

After the MQM-P, one of the main allies of the previous PTI administration, stated that it had publicly opted to vote with the combined Opposition ahead of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the agreement between the PPP and MQM-P was inked.
The Supreme Court’s ruling regarding local government is to be implemented in letter and spirit within a month, per the terms of the negotiated accord, with the consent of PPP and MQM-P.

Wasim Akhtar, the leader of the MQM-P and a former mayor of Karachi, voiced his worries during a press conference about the agreement between the MQM-P and PPP.

The Sindh government and the accord have not yet made any progress, thus we have informed the Prime Minister of the situation, he said.
