KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar on Wednesday distanced his party with the ongoing ‘banners’ war’, wherein banners are being put up in the city with slogans against ‘traitors’ to Altaf Hussain and apparent retaliatory slogans against the ‘traitors’ of Pakistan.

He demanded of the government to solve the mystery as to who was behind the banners put up in different city areas to ensure peace in the city.

Talking to media after offering ‘Fateha’ at the grave of Rashid Minhas Shaheed on the eve of Pakistan Air Force Day, Sattar praised PAF for being one of the best Air Forces of the world.  He said that the message of Defense Day and Air Force Day was to improve mutual relations and trust.

To a question he said that they (MQM) had nothing to do with those who had displayed banners in the city, adding that even last night some unknown people put up banners in different city areas.  ” Those are unknown people and we demand of the government to solve the banners’ issue immediately,” he added.
