<div> PESHAWAR:The death toll from torrential rain and strong winds in Peshawar reached 45 with more than 200 people injured. According to officials, many houses and walls collapsed in Gahdu Samarbagh, Wahid Ghari, Charsadda road, Liaqat Abad, Sadiq Abad and Ring road areas. The storm affected power supply system, making it difficult for rescuers to carry out rescue work. At least 100 injured people have been brought to Lady Ready Hospital alone. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Shaehram Khan Tarakai confirmed the death toll. "Some 25 dead bodies have been brought to hospital," Tarkai told media on Sunday evening. However, the death toll exceeded 45 on Monday. Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani that efforts were under way to rescue the people trapped under the rubble of collapsed houses. “We have declared emergency in all government-run hospitals of Peshawar,” Ghani said. Apart from Peshawar, there are reports of casualties in Nowshehra and Charsadda as well. </div>
