RAWALPINDI: The District and Sessions Court on Friday extended judicial remand of supermodel Ayyan Ali till April 27 in money laundering case. The court ordered the jail authorities to provide facilities and medicines to the accused in jail.
The model was produced in the Customs Court Friday after her judicial remand expired. As no judge has been appointed to hear the case, therefore, she was brought to the District and Sessions Court.
Justice Bahadur Ali asked the model about the facilities provided to her in the jail.
Ayyan Ali complained about lack of facilities upon which the court ordered the authorities concerned to ensure provision of facilities and medicines in the jail.
The Supper model said that she is suffering from seasonal allergy and is sick. Counsel for the defense, Sardar Ishaq filed a plea stating that the Customs authorities are bound to submit a challan regarding the matter within four days. The authorities have not complied with the rules after 28 days, he added.
The judge ordered the investigation team to inform the court about when the challan would be filed. The hearing was adjourned till April 27.
