LAHORE(INP): The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday issued notices to Chief Secretary and Home Secretary regarding the petition to replace the investigator for the Model Town case. During the case hearing in LHC, the petitioner Inspector Amir Salim complained that the investigation team has been biased with them. He argued that no firing took place during the Model Town incident, however, he along with other police officers was held guilty. He termed the challan submitted against them unconstitutional and illegal. He filed a petition to replace the investigator to probe into the Model Town incident, insisting that the case be handed over to an honest police officer instead. The court issued notices to both Chief and Home secretaries and sought a response from them within a week.
