Patriot Web Desk: Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq marked his debut innings on Lords with a remarkable ton and celebrated it with a salute and ten push ups. The strange celebration was the talk on social media with many wondering the motive behind the celebration.
Misbah, later addressing a press conference said that his celebration was for the Army troops with whom the team had trained in their conditioning camp in Abbotabad before the tour. Misbah also dedicated his ton to his wife Uzma and said that she has been always incredibly supportive and even fasts on the day I am playing.
Misbah’s steadied the ship at a tough time when Pakistan were looking shaky, Misbah’s ton meant Pakistan closed the day on a high despite two late losses in the form of Asad Shafiq and nightwatchman Rahat Ali.
