Minister says govt taking steps to streamline system in power sector

ISLAMABAD,28 NOV (DNA) -Minister of Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said that the government is taking measures to streamline system in power sector.

Talking to media, he said that steps were taken to arrest the perpetrators of crime in the power sector.

Replying to a question, he said that there is need to introduce modern technology in the WAPDA so that corruption free system could be developed in this sector.

Khawaja Asif said that a huge amount was required to address the issues of line losses, transmission lines, and old transformers. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan areas were receiving electricity in a proper manner. DNA
