ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department on Thursday has predicted widespread rains in the country during next five days (Thursday toMonday).
Briefing media persons in Islamabad on Wednesday, PMD Director General Dr Ghulam Rasul said that widespread rain may cause flooding in different parts of the country. “It may also cause landslides in hilly areas including Gilgit Baltistan,Kashmir, Malakand and Hazara divisions,” he said.
Meanwhile on Thursday (today), several parts of the country including Islamabad,Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Malakand, Hazara divisions and Kashmir received rain. Rain is also likely at isolated places ofFaisalabad, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Multan, D.G. Khan, Zhob, Sibbi, Kalat, Naseerabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, DI Khan divisions, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan.
