LAHORE: The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court has fixed the date for the indictment of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Umar Sarfraz Cheema and others in the May 9th Askari Tower burning and siege case.
ATC Court Judge Manzar Ali Gul heard the case. Umar Sarfraz Cheema could not be produced in Kot Lakhpat Jail due to the law and order situation.
The court has summoned all the accused for indictment in the next hearing. The ATC judge said that the indictment will be filed on December 2.
Case of violence against police and spreading chaos
On October 5, the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court discharged PTI Vice President Akmal Khan Bari from the case in the case of violence against police and spreading chaos.
PTI Vice President Akmal Khan Bari was presented before the court by the police with his face covered.
The court remarked that two days ago I discharged this accused in another case, the day before yesterday I discharged another accused, so how can I send him for an identity parade now? Prosecutor, please tell me how an identity parade can be held in this case.
