Altaf too threatens to shut down Pakistan

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) head Altaf Hussain has threatened to shut down the whole country if his party’s delegation is not allowed access to Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat.

In a press statement here on Sunday, MQM said three trucks filled with food supplies have been stopped by Punjab police from reaching the MQI Secretariat.

Several members of MQM’s Rabita Committee and dozens of activists are accompanying the trucks.  “We will die, but we will safeguard Pakistan,” Hussain said.

Police and administration did not allow our delegation to take food supplies, he said, urging rulers not to push the people to the wall.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood has however, denied that MQM’s delegation was stopped by the police.

He rebuffed allegations that MQM team was not allowed to take food supplies to Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat.

“DCO Lahore is in contact with the MQI administration,” he said.INP
