Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formally inaugurated the Safe City Project in Sheikhupura, after which Sheikhupura became the fourth city included in the safe cities of the province, while next week 4 more cities will be included.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Safe City Project in Sheikhupura and expressed her determination to make every city safe.
Sheikhupura is the fourth city to be included in the safe cities of Punjab and it was said that the program of making 18 cities of the province safe cities has been started today from Sheikhupura and next week 4 more cities will become safe cities and their Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also ordered to activate Safe City in 5 more cities in two weeks and directed to fully activate Safe City project in all 18 big cities by March.
He also observed the video wall of Safe City Sheikhupura and inspected the modern communication equipment installed in Safe City Sheikhupura and was briefed about the modern body cam, rugged smartphone and other equipment on the occasion.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also reviewed the monitoring process at Safe City Sheikhupura control room where MD Safe City briefed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz interacted with Police Communication Officers and Safe City Cameras. Inspected the streets and markets.
In the briefing, it was informed that 273 cameras have been installed at 52 important places in Sheikhupura, there will be automatic e-challans for violating traffic rules, Safe City Sheikhupura will also monitor air quality index, the face of criminals. Identification and tracking will be done through facial recognition system-
The Chief Minister was informed that panic buttons have also been installed at 10 different places in Sheikhupura city, free Wi-Fi facility is also being provided to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at 15 places in Sheikhupura city.
Later, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met the Assembly Members of Sheikhupora where DPO Sheikhupora briefed them on the law and order situation.
Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura apprised Chief Minister Punjab about the progress on CM Initiative, construction and expansion of Sheikhupura-Sargodha road and overhead project was agreed.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered effective measures to end wall chalking. Also instructed.
