Maryam lauds Parliament standing for supremacy of constitution, democracy

Imran and Qadri want to impose rule of jungle: Kh Saad

 

ISLAMABAD (INP): Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri want to impose rule of jungle in Pakistan accusing them for introducing the elements of violence in politics.

 

Talking to media outside the Parliament House on Tuesday, the Railways Minister who has emerged as government spokesman in the ongoing political crisis, assured the people of Pakistan that they would not succeed in their designs. He said Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri could be anything but not politicians. He questioned the attack on PTV Centre Islamabad while they claim to be very peaceful.

 

He said in this hour of trial, Parliament is united and the joint session is reflection of the collective wisdom of nation. He stressed that decisions of democracy cannot be changed by bullets and abuses. He vowed that attempts to conquer the capital would be defeated as no group or power can derail democracy.

 

He said if the present group of protestors is allowed to succeed, then no institution or government would be safe from such protests in the future.

 

He said all the political parties are united in this time of crisis to safeguard the democracy and constitution and assured the nation that that no force can derail democracy.

 

Rafique said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not resign at any cost and that no group or power can derail democracy.

Meanwhile, Chairperson Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan Scheme (YBLS) Maryam Nawaz has lauded the democratic parties for supporting the government in critical time and vowed to stand with ruling party for supremacy of constitution and strengthening democracy.

 

In a message on social site twitter on Monday, Maryam said: “Well done democrats, well done! With parliament and democracy reigning supreme, Pakistan enters a new era & leaves the old beyond! #PakZindabad”

 

She said that today is a day of pride for Pakistan indeed!.

 

The YBLS chairperson said that after announcement of support by democratic parties with the incumbent government having representation in the National Assembly and Senate during session of both the Houses, despite political differences, Pakistan has entered into new era.

 

She alleged that protestors have not agenda but they were committing treachery with the country and democracy.
