Karachi: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court has acquitted 3 accused including the alleged ringleader of Lyari gang war Uzair Baloch in the case of kidnapping and murder of 4 people including a policeman due to lack of evidence.
A special court in the Anti-Terrorism Complex in Karachi Central Jail pronounced the verdict in the case of kidnapping and murder of 4 persons including a policeman.
The prosecution could not prove the crime against the ringleaders of the gang war and other accused, on which the court acquitted the accused Uzir Jan Baloch, Riyaz Sarwar and Sher Afsar.
According to lawyer Safai Abid Zaman and Farooq Haider Jatoi Advocates, Uzir Jan Baloch has said in his statement in the court that he did not kill the victims, the prosecution has no evidence against Uzir Baloch and others.
According to the police, on August 1, 2010, police officers Lala Amin, Sher Afzal Khan and Ghazi Khan were killed.
Uzair Baloch along with his associates Sikandar alias Sku, Sarwar Baloch and Akbar Baloch were killed. The accused killed the victims and buried the bodies in the graveyard.
Uzair Baloch’s associates Sikandar alias Sku, Sarwar Baloch and Akbar Baloch have been killed in the encounter, a case has been registered against the accused in the New Town police station.
It should be noted that the former leader of Lyari Gang War and People’s Peace Committee, Azir John Baloch, has been acquitted in many cases before. The accused was arrested by the Rangers in 2016, against whom dozens of cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion and kidnapping for ransom have been filed. Cases are filed.
