RAWALPINDI, Dec 31 (INP): The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distributors have threatened to suspend supply in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in protest against imposing fines for overcharging.

Taking notice of public complaints of overcharging on LPG in the wake of gas loadshedding and low pressure, district administration took action against LPG distributors besides imposing fines.

The LPG distributors expressing concerns over the actions have threatened to stop gas supply in the twin cities.

They were of the view that till the government chalks out plan in consultation with OGRA and gas companies they can’t control the prices.

It is worth mentioning that the local LPG distributors are charging Rs 240pkg and people facing extreme shortage of piped gas have no other option but to purchase the commodity at asking prices.
