LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday termed PTI’s scheduled lock-down of Islamabad as unconstitutional and undemocratic.
The JUI-F chief met with Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore and discussed with him issues of mutual interest and political situation of the country.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sahrif said that people had recognized the enemies of progress and prosperity and they would not be part of any game.
He said that those going for shutting down Islamabad were actually wanting to stop the journey of development and progress. Shahbaz Sharif said the torch-bearers of negative politics were striving hard to snatch nation’s happiness, by stopping the implementation on the CPEC projects.
JUI-F chief said that the announcement to shut down Islamabad was an open enmity with the country. He said that after the start of hearing of petitions on Panama Leaks by the Supreme Court there was no moral and political justification for sit-ins and protests.
