ISLAMABAD: The Livestock and Dairy Development Board (LDDB) elected new Board of Directors (BoDs) including from private sector to ensure wide representation of maximum stakeholders.
The election of Board of Directors was made during the 6th meeting of LDDB which was chaired by Secretary Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFS&R).
In total, board comprised of fifteen directors, six from public sector and remaining nine from private sector. From public sector the directors include Federal Secretary, MNFS&R, four provincial secretaries of Livestock and Dairy Development Departments and Animal Husbandry Commissioner of MNFS&R.
From the private sector the elected directors included, Qazi Azamat Isa CEO Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Khalib Nishter President Khushhali Bank, Dr. Muhammad Afzal Ex-Chaiman PARC, Haroon M.K. Lodhi CEO Pak Solve Agri Pvt. Ltd, Jamil Memon Progressive Farmer (having animals more that ten thousands of different breeds), Fakhar Ahmad Khalifa CEO Shukrana Feed Mill, Dr. Muhammad Amin Managing Director Pioneer Labs and Nighat Javed Managing Partner Famer Meat Factory. Mr. Tariq Mahmood, Company Secretary (LDDB) was also present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Seerat Asghar appreciated the board members for their willingness to offer services for the development of livestock sector in Pakistan.
