LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has instructed the PTI to exercise caution and prevent causing any damage to the ground during its public event on August 13 at the National Hockey Stadium.
A new astroturf is being put down on the hockey field, where the PTI has announced its “power show” for tomorrow.
The deputy commissioner is required by the high court to decide on the basis of petitions to move the meeting location. Additionally, it stated that choosing the location for the public assembly was the responsibility of the higher authorities.
The LHC has instructed the party that there should be no ground damage.
The Punjab government was ordered to build the artificial turf as soon as feasible, and money should be set aside in the budget, the court said.
On August 13, Special Assistant to a Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar submitted a court petition against the PTI’s jalsa.
Pervaiz Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, ordered the turf to be removed in order to make way for the public event. The Pakistan Hockey Federation said that the old turf should have been taken out when the new one arrived in this respect
