LGH to hold training workshops for staffers from October 09 to 30

LAHORE: The Medical Unit II of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) will be holding “Hands On Diabetic Workshops” from October 9 to 30 and medical, surgical, gynae and nursing department would be trained.

These 4 sessions would take place on October 9, 12, 23 & 30 which would be organized under the supervision of Diabetic and Chronology Unit where faculty members of Medical Unit Dr. Imran Hassan Khan, Dr. Maliha Hameed, Dr. Kashif Aziz and Dr. Salman Shakeel will deliver training lectures on diabetic, treatment and its complications.

On October 09, Gynecology Department would be attending training at Punjab Institute of Nuero Sciences where diabetic during pregnancy and its control and problems of mother & child health would be discussed.

On October 12, Surgical Department would be part of training and diabetic patients facing operations would be focused to control their disease.

Similarly, on October 23, all junior & senior doctors and faculty members of all medical wards would be attending training on diabetic at Punjab Institute of Nuero Sciences and those attending this session would be given CME credit hours which would be helpful for PMDC registration. This workshop would be based upon question answer session and case discussion.

Last session of training on diabetic would be held on October 30, 2017 where nurses and nursing students would be the participants.
Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab told that these workshops were being held under the Health Education Program of PGMI.

He called upon that keeping in view of increasing number of diabetic patients it is important that doctors should be training and their capacity building is focused. He said that awareness should also be created among masses to adopt preventive measures as well as proper medication and exercise along with diet. INP
